So, today was my last day at Cardinal. My teammates had a huge potluck for me, and I literally ate all day! They gave me a card along with $60.00 to go toward getting a cell phone in South Africa. Kim (my previous supervisor) drove in from Louisville to attend and gave me a card and a gift certificate to Target. They’re so good to me!!
I’m glad that it was my last day at Cardinal, because that means I’m just one day closer to leaving for South Africa. However, I’m also really going to miss my friends and coworkers at Cardinal….so it was bittersweet! It’s also kind of scary that I just spent my last day working for an actual paycheck. For the next 2 ½ years, I’ll only be a volunteer! I’m now unemployed!! Wow…getting “real” now!!
